On Friday, October 16, the Westchester Craft Show will be pleased to offer two lectures:
11:30 a.m. – 21st Century Pottery: In the Studio and Off the Grid
Dan Finnegan, ceramic artist, curator and educator, of Fredericksburg, VA, will speak about current eco-friendly trends in the creation of his functional ceramic pottery. Finnegan, who trained at Winchcombe Pottery in Glouchestershire, England, has been a full-time studio potter since 1980. He is founder of LibertyTown Arts Workshop in Fredericksburg.
1:30 p.m. – Slow Design: Making Eco-Friendly Choices When Designing Your Home
Susan Cozzi, an interior designer based in West Palm Beach, FL, will discuss “slow design,” a movement that encourages individuals to choose home furnishings and art made from natural or recycled materials from the U.S. Cozzi is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers. Her work will be featured in the upcoming book Green Interior Design. |
