Artist Qualification

To participate in Crafts America shows, artists must live and work in the United States. They must demonstrate masterful technique and exceptional contemporary interpretation. Many participating artists are represented in important corporate and private as well as museum collections, such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and the Corning Museum of Glass. Each year a new panel of distinguished judges assess the highly competitive pool of applicants on the basis of technical skill, quality of workmanship, and originality of design.

Objective

Crafts America shows are designed for knowledgeable collectors as well as discriminating shoppers who appreciate high quality and original design. The location of these shows on the East Coast and in Florida offers a large, sophisticated audience the opportunity to meet important artists and select from a significant body of their newest work.
